Frank Siller Holds ‘Never Forget Walk’ From Virginia To The World Trade Center Site

A New York man is honoring his brother who died in the 9/11 attacks by starting a more than 500-mile walk from Virginia to the World Trade Center site. Frank Siller, Chairman, and CEO of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation is doing the walk in honor of his brother Stephen who died responding to the attacks. “The idea of the walk is to make sure we never forget what happened 20 years ago,” Frank said at one of his stops in Arlington. First All-wood Modular Guitar Launched By Arlington Guitar Maker

Aaron Maisler visited the House of Musical Traditions in Takoma Park last year to check out the market for making a new kind of guitar. This young musician is launching a Kickstarter campaign on June 15 to put his modular guitar into production. After a year in active development, his start-up, Fern Guitars, will take the first step toward putting the instrument in the hands of guitarists in the United States and around the world. Arlington Winners Of 2nd Round Of National Merit Scholarships

Four students from Arlington are winners of the second round of the National Merit Scholarship, which awards $2,500 to recipients. For each state, the number of winners is proportional to the state's percentage of the nation's graduating high school seniors. The program says the winners are the finalists "judged to have the strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies."
